This is the story of a girl who cried a river and drowned the whole world – just kidding.
I’m a Dallas-based UX designer with over 10 years of design experience looking for her my opportunity to create experiences that are intuitive, empathetic, and less stressful.
About
Java got her start…
Tinkering around with Photoshop at the ripe old age of fourteen. When she realized a photo of herself floating in space would make for some rad locker décor, she was hooked.
A bachelor’s in Marketing and immeasurable gallons of coffee later, she found herself wanting to make the world a prettier and more logical place. She spends her days finding ways to blend psychology and analytics with inspiration to design a picture perfect experience, because “at the still point, there the dance is.” – T.S. Elliott – Michael Scott.
Lately, she has…
Designed desktop, mobile web, and mobile app experiences for companies like FedEx, DocuSign, GameStop, and most recently – Walmart.
She’s also enrolled in the University of Texas at Dallas’s School of Behavioral and Brain Sciences to get a specialized master’s in Human-Computer Interaction.
When she’s not working…
Java can be found cheering on the Dallas Mavericks (#MFFL), reading this month’s book club novel (ask me about Lessons in Chemistry!), exploring coffee shops or immersive art exhibits, watching Sci-Fi (ask me about Dark or Stranger Things) or Bluey (does this count as Sci-Fi?), or working on this week’s random home improvement project with her family and 3 cats.
